Through Thick and Thin
A story about a young man from Dallas with a promising future who learns firsthand how cruel, difficult, yet redemptive life can be after finding himself homeless.
Through Thick and Thin seamlessly blends heartache, laughter, and redemption in a story about the struggles of everyday life as seen through the eyes of the main character, Joel Baker. Due to a wrecked relationship with his fiancé, and the tragic loss of his mother, it seems that Joel has everything that was ever truly important to him taken, including a place to live. While trying to overcome the harsh reality of life on the streets in the prime of his life, Joel begins an unusual friendship with a quirky teenager named Chris, who helps him change his perspective, and ultimately, his life.
This original screenplay appeals to the qualities that movie-goers desire in film such as exploration of complex and conflicting emotions, humor, solid storytelling, and a focus on the coming of age against society.
Think Napolean Dynamite meets Steel Magnolias.
Another Way (Working Title)
The encouraging true story that teaches us difficult roads can lead to beautiful destinations.
Although Brad grew up in a typical church-going, family-oriented suburban city in Texas, his family was far from Typical. By the time Brad finished middle school, the lack of affection shown in his family, the abusive behaviors, and the desire to constantly be as far from home when possible led Brad to gravitate to a group of similarly lost friends his age. Their poor decisions eventually led to all of them doing jail time by the end of their senior year in high school. God's story for Brad , however, was not done. This film is about how he went from someone with 6 different stints in jail to the lead worship pastor at one of the most influential churches in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
This story reminds each of us that our past doesn't have to define us, and it is never too late to choose another way.
The Other Side of The Moon
A story about a young man who is on the verge of losing his family and career when he is presented with a personal story of love and tragedy from an unexpected source that inspires him to step out of the shadows and into the light.
Jack Christopher is a young man in his 30's and the father of three who finds himself at the end of his rope and at a serious crossroad. He must find a way to resist the temptation and seemingly reasonable offer to find solace in the arms of another woman or risk losing it all.
In a society where we are ill-prepared to deal with the stress of and struggle in relationships and everyday life, this original screenplay that is very raw enough and emotionally honest enough to force us to take a deeper look into the harsh realities of who we are and the eternal value of intimate relationships.
